The Hungarian Nationals 2017 is a speedcubing competition. Anyone can participate, who is familiar with the WCA Regulation, accept it and meet the competition’s criterias.

Competitors limit: 170 people

Date: 25-26. March 2017

Venue: Lurdy Konferencia- és Rendezvényközpont
On Saturday: 1st floor, on the left, next to the catering area, room 4.
On Sunday: 1st floor, on the left, next to the catering area, room 6.

Unofficial games
The most interesting unofficial game will be the Rubik's Cup for sure, as its biggest prize is to give the winning team a trip to the World Championship 2017, in Paris. But other than this, we prepared many other games for you.

When you are not competing and have some free time, you can try out some games next to the registration desk:
  • The newest Rubik's cube: You will get a chance to try out the new Rubik's cube, which will be used for the Rubik's Cup as well. During the unofficial game, you can measure 3 solves with the cube and according to the results, the 3 fastes average, the 3 fastest single (separately for the competitors in the top 24 and for others), the youngest and oldest competitor and the fastes female will get one of these cubes. And just to make sure that everyone can get something, if you give us a short feedback about the cube you will get a Red Bull for sure.

  • Dice on Dice: This is a logical game, consisting of 27 small cubes, which are holding themselves together with magnets. If you can solve this puzzle on your own, you will get a prize.

  • Star Cube: A bit easier logical game, where you don't have to think in cube shapes, but if you like challenges, it surly worths a try.

  • Triominos: This is a board game for 2-4 people. Basically, it's a more harder version of the ofiginal domino game, which you know for sure, bacause not one but two numbers have to match in order to you can put them next to each other.

    IMPORTANT! Only the competitors of the Hungarian Nationals 2017 can win any prizes in any of the unofficial games at the competition and all competitors can win only 2 of the new Rubik's cubes at maximum during the whole weekend.
    Registration fee - for competitors (with online registration and pre-payment):
  • Saturday: 1.000 HUF (or 4 EUR)
  • Sunday: 2.000 HUF (or 8 EUR)
    • For spectators (paid on site):
  • Saturday: 500 HUF
  • Sunday (all day): 1.000 HUF
  • Sunday (afternoon): 500 HUF
    • IMPORTANT: On Sunday between 8:40 and 12:50 only 1 guest per competitor can stay at the venue.
    Competitors need to write their name in the "Comment" box during WCA registration. Only those guests, who's name is given at the comment boxes can buy the Sunday (all day) guest ticket.
